Duplex Stainless Steel 2205 Pipes is a stainless steel type that has the chemical composition consisting of an equal amount of ferrite and austenite.
The mixture of these elements provides it with exceptional properties of toughness and hardness in comparison to austenitic steels. It also can maintain excellent weldability even in the thickest parts. Moreover, they are more resistant to stress corrosion cracking than the austenitic type of stainless steel. They are usually preferred in areas where good strength and corrosion resistance are required. Sometimes at higher temperatures of more than 300 degrees Celsius the microparticles of this material can go through the process of precipitation. The most optimum temperature for its annealing process is about 1020-1100 degrees Celsius.
